Powered Up: ProQuest and the Changing Role of the Secondary Publisher

Thursday, 4th June 2015 at 6pm - 8pm

Location: LAB006 Anglia Ruskin University, East Road, Cambridge CB1 1PT – easiest access via Broad Street entrance

This event is in the past.

Connecting readers and researchers with information about books and published materials was once the exclusive domain of the secondary publisher. Yet in spite of the challenges of the open web and search engines, publishers continue to thrive.

Using ProQuest as an example, Emma Longden will guide us through its evolution from origin as microfilm producer, and its legacy as Chadwyck-Healey, to its current incarnation as a leading global online information company.

Essential if you’re in publishing, and/or into academic markets, online publishing, library marketing, and open access ...

Do come along too if you want to find out more about Cambridge's second-largest publisher.

Emma is Product Marketing Manager at ProQuest. She was for several years the dynamic Chair of CAMPUS.

£6 – wine/refreshments included. Free for all students.
