The Golden Age of Detective Fiction: Publishing stories then and now. Talk by Richard Reynolds, Detective Fiction and Literature Buyer, Heffers

Tuesday, 1st October 2013 at 6pm - 8pm

Location: Heffers Bookshop, Trinity Street, Cambridge CB2 1TY

This event is in the past.

The mangled body of Book Publishing is found on the High Street. Who did it? Was it Google, with a browser? Or Amazon, with the unkindest Kindle of all?

Join us hot on the trail as our speaker – professional buyer, consultant and passionate devotee – tells us fascinating stories from his casebook advising publishers in republishing, in contemporary formats, some of the finest works from the 1920s onwards.

Don't be scared, come along: no books – or publishers – were injured in the making of this talk.

A CAMPUS first is our venue tonight: the Pole Star of Cambridge publishing, Heffers Bookshop.

£5 – wine/refreshments included. Free for all students
